BUILDING BLOCKS by christapherwayne The intention was to make a typeface with only the most crucial elements of each letter represented, all while fitting each into a uniform size to allow no-brainer kerning, and uniform line lengths. Some embellishments, like curved corners, were added to make it feel a little more friendly.
Spaces should not be used. This is not really made to convey information clearly so the user should be willing to let go and let the message make it to the reader if they are willing to take the time to decipher.
The set on the right side is an attempt to get a more even colour in the large sets of type.
Other notes: - The 'I' is set so that, if needed aesthetically, it can be flipped to make it more bottom heavy or to match with the counters of surrounding letters; e.g "C-I-S" - The 'X' is problematic and I am trying to find a more elegant solution for it. -No punctuation or numbers are planned, but I may add them once I get a few weights made -Please ask before using in any work. I will be more than happy to allow you to use it if you email me for permission and give credit.
I found this via NOTCOT and I really tought it was a great typo, it's somehow different and even if very hard to read, it has some potential when used with some head. Ideal for some titles or logos, it is really good. Maybe some more work on that typeface and you can get yourself a powerhouse typo.
Keep with that good work, I'll be looking up for more works of you from now on
(PS: I simply love the way Q & U match ^^, it's damn sexy!)
Haha, like probably a million other people, I too designed this typeface! It was back in 2002; I built it in 8 weights using Fontographer (now obsolete).. you can see samples on my website: [link] Click "Typefaces & Identity" (It's the first few slides in this section)
dont you think its a little bit ignorant to call the two designs the same? the concept may be similar, but would you say that helvetica and titling gothic are the same thing? both 'modern' sans serif typefaces. its the subtle nuances that make it possible to have hundreds of thousands of typefaces, each with their redeeming and differentiating qualities.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
